Prior to establishing Optima Partners in 2014, Greg worked at Kinetic Partners (London and New York) in the Regulatory team. As well as being an expert in UK regulation, Greg led Kinetic Partners’ US offerings out of the UK and its global CFTC offerings. Prior to Kinetic Partners, Greg worked for the Financial Ombudsman Service and, prior to that, at Linklaters LLP in the Financial Regulation Group. Since forming Optima, Greg has worked with asset managers with assets ranging from $100m - $1.7tn, across all strategies.

Greg leads mock FCA, SEC and CFTC audits, and supports clients through visits from the regulators, financial crime reviews, regulatory footprints and strategic restructurings. Greg has worked with large global firms and designed and implemented global compliance infrastructures. He also manages FCA, SEC and CFTC applications, annual reviews and ongoing compliance oversight. Greg helped form and build out Optima’s Internal Audit function with a commercial focus and is Optima’s specialist working with OPS firms, having led multiple reviews and maintained ongoing relationships with the largest OPS firms in the UK.
